How To: Set Overall Feedback for a Quiz/Exam

Resolution:

1. Click on the Quiz/Exam you wish to edit.

2. Click on the “Update this Quiz” button in the top right.

3. You should now be viewing the exam settings page. Scroll down until you see the overall feedback section.

This section allows you to set predetermined feedback for a quiz/exam based upon particular grade boundaries. The top and bottom are always going to be capped at 100% and 0%. If you wanted to add a grade boundary of 90% you can type in 90% and then the feedback such as “excellent.” You can also set the grade boundary by the number of correct questions such as 7/9 to represent the student getting 7 out of the 9 questions correct. This will help in cases where you cannot represent repeating decimals such as 0.77 repeating for 7/9.

Once you have left your desired grade boundaries and general feedback scroll to the bottom and select “Save and Return to Course.”
